Mere Christianity

While C.S. Lewis is best known for The Chronicles of Narnia, that is just a small part of his work. He was one of the greatest Christian apologists of our time, and a prolific writer on Christian beliefs, doctrine, and Christian living. His non-fiction Christian books are among the greatest in print. Lewis was an atheist who became a Christian by logical reasoning.

Mere Christianity is both simple yet deeply profound doctrine of Christian belief. In this book Lewis lays out the logical arguments for the existence of God, that God must be the God of the Bible, and basics of living as a Christian. There is probably no book that is so insightful about God and the basics of Christianity than this.
